Luang Por Wat Ban Laem is a beautiful bronze Buddha image in the alms-carrying posture, blending early Ayutthaya and late Sukhothai styles. His face is resplendent like a deity, his hair adorned with flames like a Sukhothai Buddha image, and his robe is a thin sash that extends down to his legs. His robes are spread out like panels, with Ayutthaya-style corners at the back. It is a sacred Buddha image, and it is believed that gilding Luang Por Ban Laem will enhance one's power and auspiciousness. People often make vows and pray for their wishes to be granted, for the return of what they have earned, and for protection from suffering and illness.
