Divine Arts : Ganesha Banpagal (Ancient Ganesha)
How wonderful it would be to have the opportunity to worship the sacred Ganesha relics collected from various sources across India and Nepal, and to perform the consecration ceremony at the Kalpaka Vinayaka Pillaiyarpatti Temple in Tamil Nadu, India. This temple houses a Ganesha shrine carved from an ancient cave, known to the Tamil Nadu people as Pillaiyarpatti. This temple is considered one of the oldest Ganesha shrines in the world. In addition, within the Kalpaka Vinayaka Pillaiyarpatti Temple, there are 14 other important shrines dedicated to the deity and goddess, all built around the same era, approximately 1,600 years ago. Other notable shrines include the Shiva shrine, the Lakshmi shrine, the Saraswati shrine, and the Durga shrine.
The merit of bringing the sacred relics to perform the Deva Abhiseka ceremony at a place believed to be one of the first temples for worshipping Ganesha in the world has led the creators of the ancient Ganesha statue to believe that this Ganesha statue is filled with divine magic and is extremely auspicious in every aspect for those who rent and worship it and who have great faith.
