Divine Art Statue : Sian Kru of Lord Ganeshaya

Sian Kru is a mask which represents a sacred figure highly revered by ancient Thai people. Since it is considered a represent of masters who impart knowledge in various fields (base on the branch of knowledge or skills), there is an important ritual called the 'Wai Kru' ceremony, which is usually held every year across Thailand.

Sian Kru typically depicts the faces of various Hindu deities, including Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, Ganesha, and important sages such as Rishi Narot or Rishi Kalikoti. Additionally, there are depictions of Khon characters from the Thai version of the Ramakien epic, including Rama, Lakshmana, and Phra Phirapa, as well as the Nora's master headdress. Sian Kru is designed to be worn from the top and cover the entire head.
The Sian Kru of Lord Ganesha is a symbol of the great deity of success, wisdom, and remover of obstacles.
